I don’t know anyone that is truly happy with their body. They are either trying to diet and lose weight or gain weight because they are too skinny. Worrying about our bodies takes up a lot of our time.  However, if we are in good health, we should be happy with the way that we are.

So how can we feel good about our bodies now?

Do not focus on the parts of your body that you dislike. Even celebrities who are perfect have certain body parts that they do not like. Do not focus on them.

Instead, focus on the body parts that you do like. Remember what body parts you like. Maybe you have good legs or strong arms. Whenever you are down, remember the good and not the bad.

Take care of yourself. It is important to take care of yourself. As long as you are eating pretty good, exercising enough, and basically taking care of yourself, you are doing what you can. Yes, there is always more that you can do, but sometimes, enough has to be enough.

Wear clothes that fit your body now. Often, as women, we don’t splurge on ourselves. We think that once we get our goal weight, we will buy new clothes. However, it is important for our self esteem to have clothes that fit us now. We will feel better than if we wore clothes that are too big or too small.

Remember what our body is for. Our heart and lungs keep us alive. Our legs help us move around. We use our arms to hug people and do a lot during the day. Be grateful that you are alive and well.

It is important to learn to love the body that you have now. Even if you are working hard to lose weight, your body is fine the way it is. You need to stop focusing on what you don’t like and focus on what you do. It is also important that you are taking care of yourself. If you wear clothes that fit, you will feel better no matter what you weigh.
