Last week we explored five of the ten fitness programs that will reconstruct your exercising routine. Being tired with performing the same old workout can zap the fun right out of it. So let’s continue exploring the last five programs that can shake up and put the fun back into your workouts!

Punk Rope

Ah, those fond memories of jumping rope with your friends during recess—you had so much fun you never knew that you were actually working out! Go back to your childhood days by joining a Punk Rope class. These classes are for just about everyone since they can be altered for beginners, you can go at your own pace and you don’t need any jump rope skills. Punk Rope classes often have a theme and are a mixture of jump rope, fitness games, clever conditioning skills and energetic music. You’ll feel the results as you burn more than 600 calories each class and enhance your strength, agility, balance, timing, endurance, power, coordination and rhythm. You’ll feel like a kid again while getting fit in this program.

Zumba

Do you like to dance? If so, then you’re missing an opportunity to combine dancing with exercise! Zumba is a high-energy dance party that does away with counting repetitions and replaces that with international and Latin dance moves. If you want to amp up the intensity, there’s a Zumba Step class which incorporates fun dances with a step to strengthen and tone your arms and legs. Zumba has become quite famous and you can burn off more calories doing a Zumba program than you can with step aerobics or kickboxing. You’ll be having so much fun you won’t even remember that you’re in a gym class!

ViPR

If you think this is a difficult workout, you’d be wrong. Whether you’re a novice or an athlete, you can do this program. What is ViPR? It stands for Vitality, Performance and Reconditioning. It uses a thick, rubber tube that’s available in seven weights from 8 lbs. to 44 lbs. and combines strength training with functional movement. Simply put: ViPR is exercise and movement tailored to copy every-day movements; thus, you’re enhancing your life’s efficiency and agility in addition to burning calories. You’ll get a full-body workout while pushing, lifting and twisting with the rubber tube.

Water Aerobics

Who doesn’t love being in the water? This is a terrific program since water resistance helps you gain strength and it can be as hard or easy as you want it to be; to make the exercises more intense, just perform the moves quicker. These routines are for anyone who wishes to partake in them since the aerobics are easy on your joints. However, if you’re not one for being in groups, you can just walk around in the water or swim laps for 20-30 minutes. Whichever you choose, you’ll relax, have some fun and get a good workout!

Exergaming

Your Mom always said that you’d be a couch potato if you played too many video games. Well, not anymore! Anyone from children to the elderly can get up and move with interactive video games on Xbox Kinect; it allows you to move freely without having to use a balance board or controller. The system uses a camera to watch your movements and evaluates your twisting, running, sliding and jumping. If you attempt “Xbox Kinect Adventures!” it’ll have you breathing hard as you leap in all directions, move your whole body in every motion and jump and run in place. You’ll burn 215 calories when you’re virtual boxing or as much as 270 calories intensely dancing; either way you’ll burn plenty of calories without even going to a gym—and you’ll have a blast doing it.

So there you have it—the ten fun programs to return the zip into your workout. They sound fun don’t they? Well, then, try one of them today. You’ll be enjoying yourself so much you won’t even realize you’re exercising!
