How many times has the doctor told you that you have to lose weight? It’s always the same routine. You nod slowly, hanging your head in defeat. Then, you leave the doctor’s office and scarf down a huge piece of cherry pie. Your doctor tries to set fear into your mind, but you disregard everything he says once that delicious pie is in front of you.
We all do this or have done it at some point. Trying to find enough Motivation to live in a healthy lifestyle is not an easy task. Many times people think they are too weak and cannot completely shut off all the unhealthy ways in their life and this is simply not true.
What do we do when we want something that is out of our reach? We come up with a way to obtain that something, right? So, that same principle could be used when trying to cut off unhealthy eating habits. Try this. The next time you are shopping, look for a dress or some other article of clothing that makes you feel like a sex kitten and buy it in a smaller size. You obviously can’t fit into at that exact moment, but when you lose those few extra pounds, you can.
If you don’t want to buy something new, explore your own clothing rack. Surely you have some dear skirt or flared pair of pants that you used to wear in your slimmer days. Yes, the flared pants phenomenon is striking a come back. Setting a stylistic goal is a great way to stay motivated when you are in an unhealthy rut. Who doesn’t like to look good in some amazing clothes?
