- Seeing Reality: Over the years, with all the commitments and obligations, it is easy to one day pass by a mirror, glance and wonder who that person is who is looking back. It takes courage, rather thanĀ to walk away, to look very closely. What happens next can change the direction of a person’s life.
- Changing Direction: The hard part in not liking what one sees in the mirror comes from the thought that what is will always be. The fact is, when one notices their body is not healthy, is no longer full of energy, this is the time major change can occur.
- Support: In order to capitalize on the desire to get healthy, resources and support help build a foundation. There are many people who once faced similar changes and who got to the other side. Although an individual can make changes on their own, those who have been through it already a know the pitfalls and know how to help when the going gets tough.
- Discipline: It does take discipline to get healthy, but the focus needs to be on more than exercise and hard work. To get healthy, an individual needs to be disciplined in taking care of oneself in a new way. It is an opportunity to balance hard work with other types of self- care. The focus not only revolves around exercise and eating habits, but on overall wellness.
- Creating Your New Life: Improving health tends to increase energy. In turn, trying something new causes the body and mind to be stimulated in new ways. One of the most challenging moments is in noticing life is out of balance. One of the most powerful moments comes from taking action and watching how life opens up when one takes steps to create a new life.
