Everyone knows that you need to drink a lot of water every day to stay healthy. However, that can be really hard. Do you really want to pick water over some ice tea or juice? Maybe you are a soda drinker. It is time to get healthier today by drinking more water. Here are some helpful tips.
Make drinking water convenient by carrying it with you. Be sure to carry bottled water with you or buy a cute container to keep filled with water. Often, cans of soda are convenient to take but if you start having bottles or containers of water, you might start reaching for that instead.
Start small by drinking water at one meal instead of something else. Start substituting your soda or beer with water at dinner. Soon, you can substitute it at all meals.
If you don’t have a water cooler at your office, see if it would be possible to get one. Having water handy at a water cooler makes it convenient and easy to drink.
Drink water before, during, and after your meal. If you drink water before your meal, you will eat less. Finish up with water so that you feel fuller.
Add some natural flavoring with lime or lemon. This will add a little something to your water, making it a little sweeter.
If you are a soda drinker, try drinking carbonated water instead. This will give you the fizz that you would normally get from soda.
Alternate your drinks all day long. Drink water between each other drink. This will go a long way in helping you drink more water.
Make the switch to drinking more water slowly. Too much too fast often causes you to go right back to drinking everything else. Start by switching one drink a day, then two, until you are drinking more water than anything else. You will start to notice the health benefits of water, which will help you to drink even more. So, start today (slowly) and start working toward a healthier you!
