When you think about eating healthy, you might think about eating the same bland and boring foods over and over again. Even though some people get stuck in a healthy food rut, however, this does not have to be the case at all. Try these three tips to make healthy food a lot less boring.

1. Eat With the Seasons

One surefire way to switch things up all year long — all while getting the freshest food and the best deals possible, regardless of the time of year — is to eat seasonal produce. Watermelon tastes best in the summer, and pumpkin is perfect for the fall. Since you’ll be switching foods with the seasons, you never have to worry about getting bored.

2. Go Ethnic

Lots of ethnic foods have interesting, complex and delicious flavors that you might not enjoy on a regular basis. However, a lot of ethnic dishes are incredibly healthy. For example, there is a reason why people follow the Mediterranean diet — food from places like Greece is generally prepared in a healthy way. Next time that you get bored and would like to treat yourself, consider dining out at an authentic ethnic restaurant for something new.

3. Try New Recipes Regularly

There are so many healthy recipes out there that there is no reason to get burned out on the same old things. Use healthy living cookbooks, Pinterest and other resources to find new, healthy recipes. Strive to try something new every week or even every day!

If you think that healthy eating has to be boring, you should know that this is not the case at all. If you try these three tips, you’re sure to find that changing up your diet is tons of fun…and can have tons of health benefits, too.
