They are not watching their nutrition. It is very hard to watch what you eat, especially because people eat for many reasons: hunger, boredom, emotional, and more. Here are some tips to help you stop eating so much.

Eat more slowly. When people eat too fast, their bodies do not realize that they are full until it is too late. Often, people who rush when they eat, swallow air and become very uncomfortable and bloated.

Wait a few minutes before going back for seconds. It is important to allow your body to decide whether or not you are actually hungry. It can take twenty minutes to realize that your stomach is full.

Make sure that you only eat at the table instead of snacking in the kitchen. It is important to make sure that you are not snacking in the kitchen, every time you pass the cupboard. Instead, make sure each time you eat, you make it a meal and sit down while eating.  

Write down everything that you eat. This may be a wakeup call on how much food you actually eat in a day. Be sure to also write how much that you eat.

While you are at it, write down how you feel afterwards. Are you too full? Are you still hungry? Satisfied? This can help you decide how much food you really need to eat at every meal.

Also, while you are writing down what you eat, be sure to note how you feel. Many people eat due to their emotions. You may be able to find a pattern that you need to work through.
