You are Never too Old for Insanity – Five Ways to Make It Work at Any Age!
Once you push play and complete a Shaun T workout, everyone in your household will know that you have pushed yourself to the limit. Your face will have that flushed glow with a surrounding ring of sweat-soaked hair. Your face will feature a bright smile because you have just accomplished something even you thought was impossible. You have pushed yourself through one of the most difficult yet rewarding workouts ever created.
One of the most challenging Shaun T home workout programs is Insanity. If you have considered picking up the challenge pack or just purchasing the program to push toward you weight loss or strength building goals, you may hesitate because you know the program is unlike anything have tried before.
If your hesitation is due to your age, rest assured that age is not a factor. Look at some of the transformation stories for this program and you will see that men and women of all ages and from all walks of life wear their Insanity t-shirts with pride.
You can earn that t-shirt as well, and these five tips will make it easier:
1. The only weight used in this program is your bodyweight. Allow this to ease your fears, knowing you will never have to look at a heavy bar, set of dumbbells, or weight band.
2. Dedicate a specific time to complete your workout each day, and follow the schedule included with the program. When pushing play becomes a routine part of your day, you are less likely to skip workouts.
3. If you cannot complete some workouts in the program, you can modify them. You are never forced to do soemthing that may not feel comfortable or safe for your body. You will be amazed how quickly your need to modify goes away.
4. If you need to pause the video to catch your breath, keep moving and push play again as soon as possible. Take a drink of water and do not let negative thoughts deter you from making it to the end. It doesn’t matter how you get there as long as you do.
5. Make sure you drink adequate amounts of water every day. Sometimes this can make the difference between working your way to the end of the workout and giving up due to nausea or other physical discomforts. Proper hydration is crutial for any intense workout.
The most important thing to remember is that you are never alone with Insanity. You have an enormous support group composed of others completing the program alongside you. Plus, you have a dedicated coach ready to cheer you on, answer your questions, and celebrate your victories.
